We would like to share our good news for 2008. We are very proud to announce that in December of 2007 we became the first honey producer in the UK to be granted full EFSIS accreditation (European Food Safety Inspection Standard).

We have been working towards this goal for over a year. In the 21st century we believe that it’s vital to not only produce food of an exceptionally high quality but to also be able to prove that it is so. EFSIS accreditation allows us to do just that. By allowing an on going program of both annual and random outside auditing and inspection, which covers everything from our haulage contractors, the suppliers of our jars and labels to the quality of our honey and the way it’s handled all through it’s processing.

The hygiene, procedures in our buildings, staff training and recruitment, maintenance of machinery and of course the traceability of our product from hive to the shop shelf are now all monitored by EFSIS.
